Confluence 2.8 - Great team work all around!

The beauty of a Wiki lies in the simplicity of its concept. Building on this thought, I’d say that with the addition of the “simplistic” Page Ordering feature, Confluence 2.8 has been further Wiki-fied!

This is a wonderful example of constructive user feedback, resulting in a much-enhanced application. According to the Confluence 2.8 Release Notes 14 feature requests have been implemented in this release. By following the page-ordering feature request link, I could see how much consistent support the technical writing community provided to this request. It is absolutely delightful to see a good suggestion being implemented. Many thanks and congratulations to the Confluence 2.8 team from the technical writing community!

We’ve considered moving our documentation to a Wiki only to get stalled by one thing or the other. With Confluence 2.8 available, I’m sure we will revisit this idea. In fact, this time we might actually arrive at a decision in favor of using Wiki for our documentation requirements! For more information on the application, refer the follwing link:http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+2.8+Release+Noteshttp://ffeathers.wordpress.com/2008/04/13/yayyy-confluence-wiki-has-page-ordering/

Hallo to the team at The Writers Block, and thank you for linking to my blog! It’s great to have good feedback from an organisation like TWB, which focuses on technical communication. Do let us know what you decide about moving your docs to a wiki.
    Cheers — Sarah
